This newly refurbished holiday home is located in the delightful Dales village of Burnsall. Sleeping up to eight guests across 4 bedrooms, this property is perfect for family gatherings and group getaways. The Old Post Office is the ideal place to stay if you are looking to enjoy everything the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.
Accommodation
The Old Post Office is a stunning characterful property which spans over three floors. This four bedroom property is perfect for a family or group getaway if you are looking to enjoy the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.
The ground floor is made up of the living room, kitchen, sun room and snug.
The living room is a large L-shape room with ample seating for 8 guests. With high ceilings, wood panelled walls and a feature log burner this space is perfect for entertaining the whole family.
The country kitchen features Farrow & Ball, Lulworth Blue kitchen cupboards, solid wood worktops and a large Belfast sink. The oil fired Aga sits proudly in the middle of the room with a monochrome feature tiled wall.
The dining area sits neatly in the kitchen. With a beautiful polished wooden table and a selection of matching chairs with botanical themed cushions.
Follow through the kitchen into the sunroom. This wooden framed space seats eight people at the large dining table and features large glass doors that open out onto the rear garden. Sitting opposite the dining table are two large two seater, leather sofas. Perfect for after-dinner relaxing.
The rear garden is a lovely secluded, south facing space with a stone flagged patio and outdoor seating area.
Just off the sunroom you will find the most perfect place to retreat after a long day exploring, The Snug. With deep green velvet sofas, fabric Chelsea style chair and small reading light. Grab your latest book and enjoy some peace and quiet.
On the first floor you will find three of the bedrooms, one with en-suite and the family bathroom. With two superking rooms and one kingsize, each with crisp white linen and luxury soft furnishings, you are spoilt for choice on which room to choose for your stay.
The master bedroom can be found on the second floor. This simple space features a superking bed, large leather snug chair and a private en-suite with WC and basin.

With two protected areas, wild heather covering the moorland, towns and villages full of unique charm and a wonderful peaceful atmosphere, it is a place not to be missed. Whether you’re looking for a summer getaway to explore the landscapes or a winter break to cosy up in a country cottage you will not be disappointed with the Yorkshire Dales.
The property is surrounded by spectacular National Park scenery, including the magnificent Burnsall Fell. The location is popular among walkers and cyclists. Explore the great outdoors with a trip to Malham Cove, discover the history of Fountains Abbey in Ripon or go wild at Lightwater Valley, the local theme park.
You can travel to, from and around Burnsall by car, bus or train. There are a number of routes allowing you to travel around the Yorkshire Dales with ease.
There are a number of popular walks that lead to the hidden village of Thorpe, Cracoe, Hebden, Parcevall Hall Gardens and the spectacular Troller’s Gill. Keen fell walkers will find a choice of routes from the high moorland onto Barden Moor Access Area.

Guests have access to the whole property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There is free on-site parking for one or two vehicles (depending on size).

- 25% deposit upon booking and the remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
- If you make your booking within 60 days of arrival, full payment will be take upon booking.
- If you cancel more than 60 days prior to arrival, any funds taken will be refunded in full.
- Should you cancel between 60 days and 30 days of your arrival date, you will be liable for 50% of the full booking value.
- Cancellations inside 30 days are non-refundable.
- No security deposit taken however when your booking is confirmed, you will be asked to verify using the accommodation providers verification partner called ‘Superhog’. This is a free service and covers owners for any accidental damage. You will receive a link to Superhog within your booking confirmation email and the lead guest simply verifies using ID.
- A £25 management fee and a cleaning fee is in addition to the accommodation rate. This will be sent to you with your holiday quote.

- Dogs are not permitted to be left unattended in the property
- Guests should pick up after their dog and not leave any mess in any of the property or surrounding public areas. Muddy / sandy paws should be wiped before entering the building
- Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds. If the property has multiple floors, dogs should be kept downstairs
- If the property has a bathtub, dogs are not allowed in the bath tub as their claws can cause damage
