The Grand Brighton
Sitting on the iconic Victorian seafront as the city’s landmark hotel. Opened in 1864 to great fanfare as the original ‘palace by the sea’. The Grand Brighton was revered as a feat of architectural brilliance, boasting an impressive façade with the first lift outside London and famously outstanding service. Today, the hotel is home to contemporary, design-led spaces which sit alongside the original emerald marble pillars, ornate cornices and central sweeping staircase. At The Grand, dogs will enjoy their very own ‘Grand treat’, bed and dog bowl so they’ll be just as looked after as you are.
Spend your time discovering colourful corners of the city, sampling some of the fabulous local food and drink or enjoying a serene and well-earned rest. Afterwards, a beautiful Grand bedroom is the perfect place to retire to in the evenings. If you’re heading out to explore Brighton the hotel is a stone’s throw from the famous West Pier and bandstand and a 10-minute walk from the iconic Royal Pavilion and famous lanes.
Wine & Dine
Gather and graze at Cyan restaurant. Offering seasonal food and drinks menus centred upon experimentation, exploration, and the expertise of the team. The Chefs craft exquisite dishes that are inspired by local heritage as well as some of the incredible places they have travelled. On Sundays enjoy an epic roast in Cyan. Choose between aged sirloin of beef, herb-roasted chicken, plaice fillets or the famous nut roast, each served with all the trimmings and a delicious pudding. A new seasonal set menu is available from Monday-Saturday and a delicious selection of children’s dishes in addition to the all-day dining menu.
Visit Victoria Lounge and Bar, ideal for coffee or afternoon tea in the day and serving classic cocktails in the evening, oozing 1920’s glamour. Dogs are welcome to join you when you visit the lounge where you can enjoy breakfast, dinner and cocktails, it is advisable you pre – book. Guests should note that dogs are not permitted in the bar or restaurant.

The hotel has 201 hotel rooms which are all dog friendly.

Plus, many also boast seafront balconies complete with sustainably sourced outdoor furniture – and with views all the way from the palace pier to the beautiful wreck of the old West pier, there really is no better front row seat in the city.

From 1 October to 30th April, dogs are permitted on all beaches in Brighton and Hove. During summer months, certain beaches are designated dog friendly and sign-posted. Dogs need to be on a lead along the promenade and are not allowed on Brighton Pier. If you’re keen to wander a little further, or maybe explore by bike or by car, Sussex has so much to offer. Fom the gorgeous South Downs to historic castles and National Trust sites, plus tons of countryside and coastal dog friendly walking routes.

Dog friendly breaches
From 1 October to 30th April, dogs are permitted on all beaches in Brighton and Hove, and during the summer months certain beaches are designated dog friendly and are sign-posted.
