Press Mains Farm Cottages
Four star, self catering farm cottages near the coast in the Scottish Borders. A warm welcome is waiting for you at Press Mains Farm Cottages. A family-run working farm, they aim to provide their guests with a home-from-home from which to explore the many attractions of this coastal part of the Scottish Borders.
Open all year round, the 4 star self-catering farm cottages are well-equipped and comfortably furnished with stunning views across a secluded wooded valley. Inside the cottages are cosy and welcoming. They are heated by a biomass heating system and all have wood-burning stoves or an open fire. Outside, each cottage has a private garden making them ideal for dogs and children or for those who simply wish to listen to the birds and enjoy the peaceful rural setting.
Accommodation
Included with all cottages are sheets, towels & robes, logs for the fire and cleaning at the end of the stay.
A playground was recently built and there is a playroom on site with table football, pool, darts and more which is great for kids
Bothy Cottage – sleeps 2
A luxurious open plan one bedroom cottage with views across the rural valley. The Bothy makes an ideal honeymoon hideaway. A delightful stone terraced cottage. Many of the original features, including wooden beams and feature stone work have been retained. This cottage is perfect for couples who want to relax and unwind in a very romantic atmosphere, perhaps just lying in bed watching the glowing open fire.

Castle Cottage – sleeps 6
A delightful stone and slate semi-detached cottage built around the 1850s. Full central heating from our eco-friendly biomass boiler with the added benefit of full double glazing. The cottage has ground floor facilities making it ideal for the less able. There is a large private enclosed cottage garden with brick barbecue and a seating area. Ideal and safe for children and pets to play.

Stewards Cottage – sleeps 4
Steward’s Cottage is a traditional stone cottage dating back to the mid-19th Century. Sleeping up to four people, it is the perfect choice for families wanting to have a holiday in the countryside close to the coast or for couples wanting a relaxing and romantic break. All cottage facilities are on one level making it ideal for the less able bodied.

Explore the local area
No through road so no traffic on a quiet farm location. Just 3 miles from the beach with plenty of stunning walking. Perfect for dogs. In Scotland there is the ‘Right to roam’ so you can literally walk anywhere with your dogs but there are lots of paths around the farm to make it nice and easy.

- Large enclosed gardens come with each property, a poop scoop is included and all dog mess must be cleared up
- Dogs can be left in the cottage unattended providing they are crate trained, there are plenty of sizes available from the owner if required
- Dogs must be on a lead only around the sheep (there are around 100 fenced in and this is not usually a problem) and in the farm yard due to large machinery. They can be off the lead in all other areas.
- Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds
