Dog friendly pubs
If you fancy a few drinks in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, we’d recommend heading to The Guns Bar. The quirky bar offers local craft ale, world beers and over 40 different gins, which they pair with perfect tonics and botanicals for a full gin experience! There is a rustic and cosy vibe throughout the bar so you’ll certainly feel at home straight away.
Another great spot in Saltburn-by-the-Sea is The Sitting Room. The eclectic and vintage style tea shop doubles up as an authentic tea house during the day serving real-leaf teas and home-made cake, then transforms into a quirky bar by night. Enjoy cocktails, craft beers and wine within the relaxed and friendly environment.
Dating back to the late 1500s and once the centre of the smuggling trade, The Ship has plenty of history within its walls. Perfectly in keeping with this, the pub has a cosy and rustic feel inside with coal fires and original timbers. In the colder months, nothing beats a quiet drink by the roaring fire. When the sun is shining, you can sit outside and watch the waves in the distance.
Dog friendly restaurants
You can’t visit North Yorkshire without trying some local fish and chips! The lovely Seaview Restaurant is aptly named as it sits just metres away from the beach and boasts incredible views of the coastline below. If it’s a beautiful day, you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the breathtaking views of Huntcliff in the distance.
At Seaview Restaurant, you can try the freshest seafood which lands from the surrounding waters daily. Our top picks include the scallops, lobster linguine and of course traditional cod and chips!
This stylish restaurant and bar opened in 2019 serving incredible Neapolitan wood fired pizza and a great selection of drinks. No. Twenty Three make their dough fresh and each pizza is to order so you can expect the most delicious food!
If you like a bit of spice, we’d definitely recommend The Napoli Hot! The Napoli Prosciutto is another favourite and garlic and herb mayo is always a must. There are great vegetarian options and every pizza is available with vegan mozzarella too. Their menu also has 23 gins plus plenty of quality beers so if you’re just looking for a few drinks, you can pop in without ordering food.
Plus it’s worth noting that part of the restaurant is dog friendly so if you’ve brought your pup to Saltburn, you can take them along with you. There is also outside seating so you can enjoy your pizza alfresco style when the sun is shining.
Signals is a dog friendly restaurant and cafe serving breakfast, brunch and lunch. They also have a side hatch serving coffee and the most incredible hot chocolates to go! There is outdoor seating and they often have acoustic singers to create the most amazing atmosphere. If you want a real taste of the North East, we’d recommend ordering their famous parmo loaded fries!
Dog friendly cafes
Rapps Cafe is open from 9am daily serving breakfast, lunch and evening meals. The perfect place to enjoy a relaxed Full English breakfast, a coffee and a scone, a Stonebaked pizza with a pint or grilled seabass with a glass of wine – there really is something for everyone. They have great veggie and vegan options plus their children’s menu is ideal for little ones.
Rapps Cafe is dog friendly and there is outside seating which we’d recommend making the most of, especially when the sun is shining over Saltburn.
Camfields Espresso & Juice Bar
Camfields was once the miniature railway ticket office in Saltburn. It has since been transformed into a cosy coffee bar serving fresh juices and smoothies, Illy coffee, luxury ice-cream, desserts and scones. It boasts a south facing terrace and outdoor furniture where you can soak up the sun as the waves lap the shore in the distance.
If you’re looking for good coffee, you can’t go wrong with Taste! This cosy little tea and coffee shop works closely with local suppliers including Rounton Coffee, Pie Jackers and The Busy Whisk to provide the best local produce under one roof.
On rainy or cold afternoons, there is nothing better than popping in for a latte (or a hot chocolate if coffee isn’t your thing) and slice of home made cake.
