If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty on your doorstep, look no further than the dog-friendly Overcarr Cottage. Located mid-terrace in the quiet village of Kirby Misperton in North Yorkshire, the property itself has a homely feel throughout and it is perfect for families and groups of friends. Sleeping up to six guests across three cosy bedrooms, Overcarr Cottage will provide fun memories to last a lifetime.
Please note that parties are strictly not allowed.
Accommodation
Spacious throughout, the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area at Overcarr Cottage has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay in the heart of North Yorkshire. With two comfy leather sofas, a coffee table and flat-screen TV, the living space is the perfect place to retreat to after a busy day exploring all that the area has to offer.
Head to the dining area and you’ll find a wooden dining table with six chairs, all of which have cushions to add to the comfort of eating a hearty meal.
Overcarr Cottage’s kitchen is well equipped to allow guests to make the most of their self-catering stay. The modern appliances available include a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, oven, hobs, toaster and washer.
From the kitchen and dining space you can access Overcarr Cottage’s garden which has plenty to boast about. You’ll be able to benefit from a patio area with garden chairs and a table, as well as relaxing in the hot tub. There is also a good-sized shed so you’ll be able to store your outdoor equipment.
Back inside and up the stairs is where you’ll find the property’s three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed made up using plush bedding and premium bed linens. There is ample storage in this bedroom with a wardrobe providing space to store your belongings during your stay. You will also be able to prepare yourself for the day ahead at the dressing table.
The second bedroom at Overcarr Cottage is a twin, and the third has a bunk bed. All beds are made up using high quality bedding so guests will be guaranteed a great night’s sleep at the property.
The upstairs family bathroom has a bathtub with separate shower, as well as a wash basin and WC. Guests will also have use of a separate downstairs toilet.

Kirby Misperton is within close proximity of the two historic market towns of Pickering and Malton, both of which can be reached by road in quick time.
Adjacent to the village lies one of the most popular amusement parks in England, Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo making Kirby Misperton a great holiday location for families with children.
Kirby Misperton has great bus links. Hop on the 175 bus route which runs between Pickering and Malton, with stops are various villages in the area. The 176 runs through to Kirkbymoorside, whilst the 840 Coastliner will take you through to the cities of York and Leeds, or to Whitby on the Yorkshire coast if you head in the other direction.
The closest train station to Kirby Misperton is located in Malton and it’s a short 20-minute drive from Overcarr Cottage. From Malton there are regular routes to Scarborough, York, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.

Guests have full access to the property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Parking is available for two vehicles on the driveway of Overcarr Cottage

- 25% deposit upon booking and the remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
- If you make your booking within 60 days of arrival, full payment will be take upon booking.
- If you cancel more than 60 days prior to arrival, any funds taken will be refunded in full.
- Should you cancel between 60 days and 30 days of your arrival date, you will be liable for 50% of the full booking value.
- Cancellations inside 30 days are non-refundable.
- No security deposit taken however when your booking is confirmed, you will be asked to verify using the accommodation providers verification partner called ‘Superhog’. This is a free service and covers owners for any accidental damage. You will receive a link to Superhog within your booking confirmation email and the lead guest simply verifies using ID.
- A £25 management fee and a cleaning fee is in addition to the accommodation rate. This will be sent to you with your holiday quote.

- Guests should pick up after their dog and not leave any mess in any of the property or surrounding public areas. Muddy / sandy paws should be wiped before entering the building
- Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds. If the property has multiple floors, dogs should be kept downstairs
- If the property has a bathtub, dogs are not allowed in the bath tub as their claws can cause damage
