Chestnut Terrace is a fully equipped boutique cottage experience designed to help you relax, unwind and enjoy the beauty of this wonderful location. Furthermore, Suffolk is a renowned dog friendly destination and all the local pubs and shops accept dogs!
The owners of Chestnut Terrace have two beautiful dogs, Mabel and Betsy, who love to visit when time allows so they fully understand how to make dogs comfortable and welcome. The set up is very dog friendly and up to two dogs are welcome on all stays. There is a door to the stairs that shuts on both floors and dogs will be very comfortable in the cottage with the private garden that has a gate so they are completely safe. You will find treats, toys, balls, poo bags and blankets and there is plenty of space for you to bring and set up your dogs bed to help them settle and feel at home.
Any type of dog is welcomed and the goal is for your dog to enjoy their break as much as you do. You will be able to relax knowing that Long Melford is very dog friendly with plenty of walks and places your dog will love.

The cottage can accommodate up to four guests and has a Superking Bedroom which can also be converted to a Twin and a King Bedroom.

Suffolk is dog walking heaven. A stones throw from the cottage are a huge amount of dog walks – ranging from country walks with scenery to walks across footpaths over open fields. Beaches are within 45 minutes of the cottage and a lot of them are dog friendly – you also have Norfolk 1.5 hours away with some lovely walks. There are plenty of National Trust properties in the local area all who welcome dogs one within walking distance from the cottage. Dogs are very welcome in pubs / restaurants and eateries locally which means you can have a proper break with your dog so they don’t feel left out.
